Figure 40.1 shows the dialog Configure caches, which is accessible from the menu Configure >> Caches. On Mac OS X, look for the Caches tab after selecting Kangas Sound Editor >> Preferences.
Here you can specify the number of graphs, Harmonics, anti-Harmonics, anti-Harmonic Bases, Variations and composition-property objects which are cached (stored in memory). Caching can help improve performance while listing graphs, Harmonics, Variations, etc. or whilst computing sounds. These can be adjusted according to the amount of memory you have available; if your computer is running low on available memory, for example, you might want to reduce these.
